Despite being part of the rapid unit, the AC side only charges at 22kW. | Rapid charger accepts CPS cards. Type 2 posts facing out onto Clepington Road respond to CPS cards, but the units directly in front of the building are fenced off for council use only.

The chargepoint is located on the top staff car park, near the entrance close to the Countryside Centre. If coming from the motorway, follow signs for the Countryside Centre. If you drive in from Spetchley Road, follow the road round after coming through the barriers to the mini-roundabout; turn left here. The chargepoint is on the left hand side of the car park. Please call County Hall Reception / Security team on 01905 766325 to gain access on and off the site if you are using the chargepoint outside of 9-5 Monday to Friday. If using the chargepoint within these times, please pop into the County Hall reception to request a code to leave the site. There is a café on site within County Hall, open from 8am to 3.30pm Monday-Friday.

One bay, which has a maximum stay of 1hr, is allocated to this charger. 7kW chargers are on second level, straight ahead from ramp up. Although there are only two sockets, there are three bays - one often has an unplugged university car plugged in.
